Claire's Surgery

My version of Claire's surgery is certainly a work in progress, but I thought I would do a post to share what I have been able to put together so far. Most of the props have come from Hobby Lobby in various excursions there ( back before social distancing).
The shelves and paneling were all found at Hobby Lobby along with the table in the middle of the shelves and 3/4 of the items on the shelves/table. I did knit the rug on the floor and the candlestick is an American Girl prop.
Most of her books were obtained from various sources on Etsy.
The table in this shot is from American Girl. And the mortal and pestle was a gift from a friend.
An unexpected visitor...….

The Wedding

Since its rainy and nasty here today, and not at all conducive to taking new photos I thought I'd revisit some older photos, add some new edits and share pictures of Jamie and Claire in their wedding attire, as I realized I hadn't posted any pictures of them on their "wedding day" here.
Jamie's outfit was one of the first outfits I had commissioned. Sisen Designs did his vest and jacket. Robyn at Period Threads did his shirt and Becky Unger did his kilt and plaid.  His wig was done by Chewin.

Jamie's outfit is pretty close to what he wears in the show...……….Claire's not so much, but I bought Harace's wedding outfit from the Carved Heritage line when I had the chance, so decided it would have to do. It's a truly gorgeous gown and looks beautiful on Claire I think.
This particular sculpt captures Claire's reluctance to be a bride well, IMHO.
They are a beautiful pair.
You can see the back of Jamie's "wedding wig" here. Chewin did a gorgeous job on it.
The happy (at least on his part) couple.

Young Ian and Rachel

Just felt like spending a bit of time with Ian and Rachel today. Love these 2 together...……...next to Jamie and Claire they are my favorite characters.
I love the shawl I found for Rachel on Etsy from "beachgirlnikita". I've gotten several knits from her and this one just seemed to suit Rachel well.
I need to knit another pair of hand/arm warmers as these were among some of the first I attempted back when I first started knitting. I think I can do better now.
Diana's sculpt reminds me very much of Iple Mari...………..I love her serene expression.
Contrasted by his very protective expression.
